Bosch Launches High-Speed Packaging Machine for Food Packaging Industry
- Caters to snack foods and potato chips manufacturers
- Bosch Packaging growing at the rate of 25% per annum
Bangalore, Sept. 25, 2006: Bosch Packaging Technology, a division of Robert Bosch GmbH and one of the fastest growing packaging technology specialists in India, has introduced SVE 2510, the fastest continuous motion Vertical Form, Fill and Seal (VFFS) bagger in India. This is in line with the division’s mission to offer Indian customers state of the art technology at a competitive price with a reliable local service and support network.
The division is on a high growth path and will shortly introduce new products in India with focus on productivity, reliability and attractively designed bags. “Bosch Packaging Technology is growing at the rate of 25% per annum in the solid and dry powder food segment which is commendable. We expect the Division to be the No. 1 player in this industry by 2010.” said Dr. Albert Hieronimus, Managing Director, Motor Industries Company, flagship of the Bosch Group in India.
The SVE 2510 is a new generation machine built on the latest Bosch technology and completely assembled locally. The machine is highly versatile with high speeds of packing upto 180 bags per minute, depending on the product & packaging material used. “Conventional fill and seal machines often set restrictive limits which have been completely eliminated by the SVE 2510. Its unique modular concept makes it possible to produce a large number of bag styles with a low machine height, ensuring less product breakage and longer retail shelf life” according to Mr Thomas Buehler, Business Head, Bosch Packaging Technology, India. Based on automated Servo technology, SVE 2510 is easy to use and makes for huge savings in the number of machines required by the end customer when compared to the intermittent motion machines currently used.
The SVE 2510 has already been successfully introduced into the market with orders from its customers to pack small biscuits & potato chips. These machines are scheduled to be delivered by end of 2006. The new generation SVE 2510 will also be showcased at the “International Food Tech 2006” trade show scheduled in Mumbai from 23rd to 25th Nov. 2006.
