Bosch inaugurates its 2nd Diesel Centre in Kolhapur
- End-to-end service provider for all diesel powered vehicles
- Plans to open 4 more centres in the coming year
Kolhapur, May 4, 2007: The Automotive Aftermarket division of Bosch’s flagship Motor Industries Company Limited today inaugurated its second Bosch Diesel Centre (BDC) in the country at Kolhapur. The new BDC will be an end-to-end service provider for all diesel vehicles. Apart from providing expertise in the repair of conventional diesel injection pumps and components, the BDC is well-equipped to repair all Bosch systems and components such as Electronic Diesel Control pumps and Common Rail pumps both on and off the vehicle.
Mr. Odd Joergenrud, Vice President, Asia Pacific Automotive Aftermarket Division, RobertBosch Pt Ltd (SEA) Pte Ltd who was present at the inauguration said, “Last year we launched the first BDC in India at Ahmedabad, which has received a very encouraging
response and we hope to receive a similar response in Kolhapur. At Kolhapur, our specialists will continue to provide complete diagnosis and solutions for all types of diesel powered vehicles.”
M/s Hem Kiran Diesels, located in Kolhapur is the local channel partner for the company in this initiative. The new BDC in Kolhapur, which is spread over a sprawling 23,000 sq.ft will have a team of 30 skilled personnel servicing customer requirements.

There are over 500 Bosch Diesel Centres in the world including 42 in the Asia-Pacific region alone. Bosch plans to open 4 more centers in India in the coming year, depending on market conditions and future customer needs.
