MICO BOSCH awarded the prestigious “Auto Component Manufacturer of the Year 2005

January 10, 2005: Motor Industries Company Ltd (MICO), a flagship of Robert Bosch GmBH in India since 1953 and India’s largest manufacturer of auto components has been awarded the “Auto Component Manufacturer of the year 2005” by OVERDRIVE – Auto Monitor. This Annual Award is the “Oscar” for the automobile industry in India and recognizes the “best” in the industry in association with reputed industry bodies like CII, SIAM & ACMA.

The coveted award has been instituted by OVERDRIVE –Auto Monitor and judged by the captains of the industry namely Mr Subodh Bhargava, past president CII, Mr Dinesh Munot, past president ACMA, Mr Ravi Chopra, Executive Director: SIAM & Managing Director, Piaggio Greaves India, Mr Adil Jal Darukhanawala, Editor – OVERDRIVE, Mr Yogendra Pratap, Asst. Editor, OVERDRIVE and Mr Samir Kumar, Executive Editor, Auto Monitor.

This prestigious award was conferred to Mico on Saturday, January 8th at Delhi in the presence of luminaries of the auto industry. For the first time the “Auto Component Manufacturer of the Year 2005” award has been instituted in India. MICO has been unanimously selected by the esteemed jury for its holistic capabilities spanning across the globe to give innovation in technology, scale and size of manufacturing, customer satisfaction, performance and quality and product range.

On receiving the award from OVERDRIVE, Dr Albert Hieronimus, Managing Director, Motor Industries Company Ltd., said “The award recognises the talent and skills of all the employees of MICO and BOSCH, who relentlessly work to innovate technology and achieve perfection in manufacturing”.
