Dr. Manfred Duernholz, Joint Managing Director
Dr. Duernholz was born on December 7, 1954 at Geilenkirchen, Germany. In 1986, he completed his doctorate degree in mechanical engineering with specialization in diesel engine technology from the RWTH University Aachen, Germany. He is married and has a daughter and a son.
Dr. Manfred Duernholz is the Joint Managing Director for the Powertrain area of Bosch Limited from Feb.1, 2008 onwards.
He was earlier the Senior Vice President responsible for engine technology and system development at the Diesel Systems division of Robert Bosch GmbH. Under his leadership, the strong alliance between Bosch in India and Germany has been cultivated and intensified in the area of diesel development including the transfer of know-hows. He clearly emphasizes on the importance of being a strong partner and giving customers in India the best and most suitable support to meet further emission targets.
Dr. Manfred Duernholz is associated with Robert Bosch GmbH since 1999, his first position was that of the Director of the engine test field in Germany.
Before joining Bosch, Dr. Duernholz worked with FEV Engine Technology, Inc, well known for their advanced engine engineering services. He was in charge of different positions, lastly as the Chief Engineer for Diesel Systems.
