The Nashik EOU has been formed for the CRI project. It will manufacture Common Rail Injectors and its various parts for selling within India, and for the international market of Bosch world.

In the first phase of the project, following parts were produced by Bosch Limited (Formerly known as MICO), and exported to various Asian and European countries.
• Injector Body (German name: Koerper)
• Armature Group (German name: Ankergruppe)
• Valve set (German name: Ventilsatz)
In the second phase, the Common Rail Injectors assembly lines were set up to cater domestic market.
Product Profile
Robert Bosch GmbH Germany has developed a state-of-the-art fuel injection system for diesel vehicles called Common Rail System. The system consists of following main parts:
• High Pressure Pump
• Fuel distribution rail
• Electronic Control Units
Common Rail Injector (CRI) -
This system enables the high performance of the engine for emission and fuel efficiency due to the following features:
• High injection pressure
• Electronic Control Unit to enable precise control during
diesel injection
• Optimisation of combustion cycle with multi
injection feature of CRI
This system meets the latest emission norms practiced worldwide and has helped to enhance the performance of diesel engines to a great extent.
Material and Inputs
The raw material and components are imported from various suppliers. Major imports include alloyed forging, alloy steel, precision turned and hardened parts, special components, various tools, gauges, measuring equipment, instruments, dyes, oils and consumables.
Localization opportunities are being explored and will be implemented wherever found feasible.
