India’s largest auto component maker, Motor Industries Co. Ltd. (Mico) has been renamed as Bosch Limited; and the engineering and IT Services arm Robert Bosch India Ltd. as Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Limited. The entire brand folio of the new Bosch Limited now changes to Bosch while Mico will continue to be used as a brand for automotive aftermarket products. These changes are in effect from Feb.1, 2008 onwards.

The management structure of Bosch Limited has also changed as the following:

• Dr. Hieronimus becomes the Chairman of the Board of Directors
  
• Mr. V K Viswanathan is the new Managing Director
  
• Mr. M Lakshminarayan, Dr. Ferdinand Allerkamp, Dr. Manfred Durnholz are the Joint Managing Directors
  

For Bosch Limited, these changes herald consolidation in the domestic market and newer opportunities overseas.
