40 Bosch CCTV cameras with innovative features
With more than 1000 vehicles getting registered per day in Bangalore, the city traffic police were having a tough time managing traffic movement, particularly during the peak hours. The Bosch security systems division addressed this problem with an innovative, state-of-the-art video surveillance solution.

Bosch CCTV
Security solution for Bangalore city traffic police
40 Bosch Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras with zooming, panning and tilting capabilities have been deployed at strategic locations in Bangalore city to monitor and control the traffic congestions.

Apart from enforcement and analyzing real-time visuals from 40 junctions, the Traffic Management Centre, Bangalore is now able to manage traffic based on video footage generated by the cameras. They can now closely view the real-time images and take necessary action to disperse the congestion or make necessary security arrangements.

Also the signal timings can be controlled more effectively, depending upon the traffic movement. The police can also assess the general behavior of road users. Important information such as number of vehicles passing through a particular junction, their direction, hit and run cases, etc can be detected. The data generated by the cameras will help in creating an intelligent traffic management system.

The innovative solution provided by Bosch is a unique combination of hardware (Gen 4 Series AutoDome camera & VIPX series encoder) and Software (BVMS) - both indigenously developed.
