With close to 3,000 employees and a head office in Erfurt, Germany, Solar Energy is currently the newest business division in the Bosch Group, part of the Group's efforts to strengthen its business in the renewable energies sector.
From highly efficient solar cells and modules right through to turnkey solar power stations with harmonized components — in the Solar Energy division, Bosch develops, manufactures, and sells high-quality photovoltaic products.
In addition to crystalline technology, Bosch Solar Energy also develops and produces innovative thin-film solar modules.
Solar Energy in India
Bosch Solar Energy, a new division of Bosch Limited, is focused on catering Solar Photovoltaics (PV) products and solutions to utility scale power plants, commercial roof tops, and off grid requirements. To capitalize on the potential of the nascent Indian Solar Photovoltaic Market, Bosch has introduced 60 cell Mono-crystalline silicon module and Micro morph thin film modules. Along with photovoltaic modules, the division also offers turnkey project development services including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction of solar power plants. Since June 2011, the division has delivered 1000 kWp of thin film modules.
In addition to setting up the Sales function, the division has also developed Solar Photovoltaic power plant project development expertise. The team comprises of experienced professionals in designing, engineering, procurement, and project management of power plant which enables Bosch to offer turnkey projects with Bosch Solar Modules, and Bosch Rexroth Mounting Structures. The division has also developed partnerships with leading and experienced sub-contractors, component suppliers, andindustry bodies.
